Kat2, you can plant them in small seedling containers just divide them and place on top of the soil with the paper towel and cover with a little bit of soil, sprinkle some water over and let them grow. ;-)
I've been growing my pineapples from top for 4 years or so. They were all from store bought pineapples tops. Now I am getting new different verieties and my callection is growing fast. Next year I am expecting my variegated ones to fruit. Can't wait. I will post some pictures later.
