Dates seem quite simple to get going. Soaked them in water for a while, then started them in a shallow tray of sphagnum moss and organic potting soil with mycorrhizae. No addition of heat either. Looks about time to move on into pots I guess.

Next up is a coconut? Dug through a pile of coconuts at the market, and found a nice heavy one with lots of water sloshing around inside. I may just eat it. Or try my hand at growing it, which is probably just another crazy idea
