This a Sandwich panel house used to protect a Pindo Palm latitude 54, but I can see w/ a clear top might be able to be used for Banana's. Wind & cold or cold wind is a greater enemy of banana's in the winter than just the cold itself. A heat-tape inside this box cold be a good way to leave a banana in the ground for the winter.. Well not if you have a yard full of them but one mat wouldn't be out of the question for those folks in zone 6 & 7 to getting a chance of fruit from a dwarf hardy variety in their yard if the timing is right.. :^)
