They have been there for a while, one for about 6 months and one for about two, but both have made huge growth. The big one has grown to around 2 metres from being about 1/2 metre when planted, and the other from a sucker to about 1/2-3/4 of a metre in around 2 months. They were flying until the heatwave. We have sandy soil, so I was not really worried about overwatering. I think it must be sunburn, 44c+ is enough to make me melt too!
