The study led to the grouping of the banana genotypes in three categories:
1) highly resistant (HR) cultivars characterized by an early blockage of leaf infection (incompatible interactions);
Yangambi km5 (AAA; HR)
Paka (ABB; HR)
Pisang Lilin (AA; HR)
2) partially resistant (PR) cultivars exhibiting slow rates of symptom development (compatible interactions)
Fougamou (ABB; PR)
3) susceptible (S) cultivars characterized by a rapid development of necrotic lesions (compatible interactions).
Grande Naine (AAA; S)
