This the answer you get from people that don't get much in the way of cold weather. I guess when you have to cut 3ft of p-stem off a DO after winter and I don't have to cut any off a CG and my CG's are more exposed that doesn't make much sense.. I can say my Dwarf Orinoco has seen its last season in my yard. A CG or Orinoco is so much better to grow than a DO. I think the DO has the cold tolerance of a Cavendish.. Here is my same DO from this time last year.. I think a Red Iholena would do much better in this spot.
Its the most disappointing variety I have.. to say the least..
