Perennial Purple Tree Collard (Brassica oleracea v acephala) do not grow true from seed and rarely produce any. They are a cabbage hybrid. I have ordered from all 3 sources with good luck. I prefer the purple myself.

Brassica oleracea longata or Walking Stick Kale are not the same. Can be grown from seed. And worth growing imho.
