Bananas Brindando Newbie with a Musa Dwarf Red Banana plant

Hello everyone, Lance here. I am new to the forum and to the banana planting. Well sort of. I have a now two year old Musa Dwarf Red Banana plant. It is about 2.5 foot high. It is planted in a pot all year round. The winter it is in my house and summer outside in the pot. I live in PA. I just had to replant it today because it was root bound. The pot it is in now is 15`` at the opening x14`` deep and about 11`` around at the bottom. I use Master Nursery called gardener gold all organic potting soil. I water it every other day. I also use tropical delights banana fuel 15*5*30. Summertime i use 1/2 tsp per gallon of water and only use it every 7 days or so and regular watering.
Anyways am I doing this right? I am looking for the right way to get bananas going. Last year it dried out cause I was in the hospital but this summer it is in full bloom. As soon as I figure out how to upload pictures I will. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! And how to set up the soil properly and prune spikes? Thanks for your help all, Lance

Ps I also forgot I got the plant from well spring garden in Florida.
