Default What really counts as cold conditions?

Hi
I live in Auckland, New Zealand.
We NEVER get frosts - well maybe a freak one every few years.
The lowest winter temperature will be 40oF/5oC. That's about it but it's more likely to be 45-50oF/8-10oC at nighttime and 55-60oF/13-15oC during the day in winter. In Summer it's like 75-80oF/23-26oC and 60-just below 70oF/15-19oC.

Also, my particular plants have protection from the southern hemisphere version of frigid northerly winds.
Am I a cold climate?
I have two lady fingers and two other varieties to be ID'd.
