Re: What to do with YOUNG-IN'S
If there is a frost or freeze warning at our place (zone 9) we lay the potted plants on their side, install some stakes to hold a cover above them and put a lamp in there to keep out the freeze. The covers we use are old sheets, blankets and anything that will supply some insulation. This is an easy method for us and has worked for many years. Have only lost a few leaves that touch the cover but all seem to like it. Have also built tepees for the larger tender plants and they came through also. Extra work but it might save a nice plant. Have also thought of a small hoop house if rain is possible.
