Default Re: Best desert banana

Just had my first Raja Puri this week and would put it as among the best several bananas. Great texture. Like a cross between Dwarf Brazillian and Dwarf Namwah. Texture much like a namwah with taste similar to DB, but not as tart or apple tasting.

Have also been having my picked too soon Gros Michel finally become ripe. Also an excellent dessert banana, especially if you like regular old store bought cavendish. It was much like those but with a more complex flavor, firmer texture, and the slightest hint of tanginess. I can see why people say the cavendish varieties that replaced them years ago isn't as good.
