Hi,

I live in Long Island, NY (Zone 7a) and have been growing, and aquiring Palm Trees for the last 5 years. I found out about this site through the International Palm Society. I started getting into bananas this past spring when I bought my first banana plant from a local nursery. Well, we had an incredibly warm summer and everything grew really well -so I decided to purchase a greenhouse to over-winter my tender tropicals and see how big I could get them to grow. Everyone tells me that I can't get actual fruit on my bananas up here in NY, but I think I can.. I guess time will tell. Looking forward to being a part of this board.
