I planted an Indiana banana, a.k.a pawpaw, a.k.a asimina triloba. I have heard of the song "Way Down Yonder in the Pawpaw Patch," but I never knew what a pawpaw was. Since I've been into edible gardening, I decided to learn about pawpaws. Ironically, after researching pawpaws, I discovered a whole patch of pawpaw in my parents' back yard. Well, I got the shovel and dug up six of them to transplant to my yard. Pawpaws supposedly don't transplant well, but the robust plants from my parents' yard are doing fine.
