Can be grown down to zone 9.

Musa ornata "Royal Purple" in front and musa ornata pink flower in background. Colour of "Royal Purple" were more purple in life, than in photo.
I do not know the name for pink-flowered musa ornata as it is not a "Lavender Beauty".


Unnamed musa ornata, with pink flower. First bract were orangish pink.
Unable to provide the photoes of flowers this year, due to I am now progagating it and two pieces with suckers and a tip of sucker are in my hothouse.
A sucker is below 30cm in height.

Caused by Asian breeders in South East Asia, who hybridized the plants. I imported the seeds from Germany and raised them to maturity.
Can grown down to zone 8.

I called this plant "musa ornata red flower"
Musa ornata "Royal Purple" may be a parent plant of this hybrid, but I am not sure. Can be grown down to zone 8.
