I have a Raja puri that blooms every Oct. 1. I'm in 9a so don't have so much time although the stalk has been growing since then. Has anyone ever cut off the flower on the theory that the plant can put its energy into fewer bananas?

I think the only way those of us in freeze zones are ever going to get many bananas is through global warming!
