I HAVE actually used the manual focus, but it was an accident!


I didn't realize that I had slid the AF button over to MF. Furthermore I didn't even realize what the letters stood for until I read some of the manual.


I liked the manual focus too because you can really make sure it's clear. I don't use my tripod too often because it's just not convenient sometimes.


I think I get what you're saying Mitchel, and I'll just goof around with the settings and then take a shot to see if it's what I want. I liked what Tommy said about writing things down that work out. Being new, I would forget what settings I used for different things. There's also a booklet that came with my lenses that tells you what settings to use for different types of shots.


I gotta keep reading...
