That's the spirit! If you were to close down the aperture (bigger number) a little then more of the flowers would be in focus. Either that or move further away from them, same effect but then you'd have to crop the photo. Research Depth Of Field.
Try turning off the auto focus so you can select the area of the photo you want in perfect focus. There are other ways to achieve the same result but it's it's great to know how to manually focus your lens.
