Your making me want to dust off the fishing equipment.I know of one spot with some large rocks that can be reached at low tide. There is a big depression right in front of the rocks. The halibut will come in on high tide and just sit in there even as the tide goes out.Cast out a frozen anchovy work it as slow as you can across the bottom, when you think you have snagged your bait it's probably a Halibut. They will grab the bait and just hold it won't move till they fill pressure on the line. Pretty exciting you never know how big it will be.That's the spot I stepped on my first and only Stingray.
