Are they hardy.
What zone am I in -- in Lancashire, never did take much notice of that till I got my palms.
Thanks again Olafhenny
The Maples have disapointed me this year, completely defoliated from something, even DIY Maples are the same..brown, leaf eaten off...well, the red part and leaving behind a yellow backing.

I am not even sure you could make that happen to the elders, if you wanted to. They are very robust, but
not invasive, since their fruit seem to fall off, before they ripen and therefore cannot produce seeds.
