I guess I have enough old logs or whatever around here that I've got some carpenter bees without having to do anything to encourage them. I planted a 'Frederick' passionfruit vine last July and this year it's large enough to put out a lot of flowers. I did some hand pollination last week but today the vine had over 100 flowers open up. I'm glad I saw this bee show up to do the work for me. I did see a paper wasp chase the carpenter bee away a couple of times. I wish I could get rid of the wasps for good.
