Default Re: What is blooming in your garden today (other plants)?

I have some cassava (aka tapioca or manioc) blooming, but they are not what you would
call attractive - the female part looks like a green ball about 3/4 - 1 inch wide, and the
male part is higher up, and is a small 5 petal creamy white or red flower.

I don't know any varietal names except for the variegated type. I just call mine black
(darker leaves, purple roots, fast grower), red (medium green leaves, red stem, red roots),
and yellow (green leaves, yellow stem, yellow roots). Yellow is sweeter, and easier to
harvest since the roots don't spread as much as the other types.

If you blow up the photo of the red and yellow, the difference is more apparent.
