Did those spots start after you got your new light?

Is it possible the light was too close to the leaves, because those look similar to burn marks to me. Did you wet the leaves and then put the plant right back under the bright bulb? This could cause burn marks like that and I've experienced it myself in the past.

Just a thought and something to consider...
