One of my bananas starts to emerge a flower bud in this delicate season
and I have think about some ways to make it through the winter.
However the only way that seems to be economical and practical would be
to cover the whole bunch by a plastic bag, but in this case if leaving the
leaves and petioles, it will be too big to do.
So the question is "At least how many active leaves should be left on the
pseudostem?" I have read once that at least several leaves should be left
to sustain the life of the plant.
Now the second question is "Is it alright to cut the all leaves off as the
leaves of its sucker may be able to supply emergy to its mother plant.
Thanks in advance for your commeents and opinions.
