I don't think you would want rhizomes because I'm a bamboo collector and I've taken rhizomes before. Those guys take like 2 years to establish and actually put out their own rhizomes. They basically take forever to grow. I'm an ebay seller myself specializing in mostly moso, heteroclada, bissetii, rufa, nuda, parvifolia, and a few others I can't think of right now, but I sell established plants that I know will do well so not all ebay sellers sell crap.

I think bamboo nursery in Oregon might be you best bet in getting a dependable plant where they actually respond to you and make sure you are satisfied.
