It has been 36 days since I twisted the top off my first pineapple to grow it. When I potted it, it was sort of loose in the pot [prolly due to lack of roots]. Now it is still firm and green and very tight in the soil so I'm certain it has roots! Here is a photo I took about 10 minutes ago:
