Question problems with Basjoo

I've had this Basjoo in the ground at least a month now, and unlike all the other Bananas that I've planted that look beautiful green and large leaves, this Basjoo has had small pale thin leaves that have gotten smaller. I put out this basjoo, 2 orinocos, one IC, a DC, and a Raja Puri, they've all put on 3-4 great leaves and most have 2-3 pups.
This plant had major spider mite problems during the winter, but I thought it would improve once I got in the ground. It's had plenty of Fertilizer and water (we've had tons of rain).
Any clues as to what the problem is? I can't figure out what happened to this Basjoo.
