Default Re: corm rot

Well I gave up today and dug up and cut down three more stalks all with the same thing rot at the rootball ground level. My kru had a bloom inside and what a bummer that is,anyway starting over. I have two more large stems left, both have pups but neither have started to grow from the main stem they are green with pencil leafs. does anyone have a clue why I have now lost 8 mature stems four large corms all from what looks like corm rot. Some of these where in ground others were dug and overwintered in my shed. The temps in my shed were inconsistent but it never got below 40*. Here is a pic of a 8 foot Ice cream stem.
