I had planted three Musa "macKlayi" out on my farm, then the freezes hit in January. Two of three survived.
If Gabe is right and these are actually Musa Jackyi, I will be even happier!
The red color of the pseudostem in the initial photographs may be a result of the change from plant hormones and stimulants to a more natural environment.
