If the very center is still brown, you gotta keep going. That rot will keep going down the plant...

But make sure your temps are in the 60s+

We are supposed to be in the mid 60s by now, but it's been in the upper 50s with all these storms and clouds. I need it to warm up quick so I can get some P-Steam recovery!! Even so, since yesterday was close to 70, I went ahead and started cutting them back to green.

Oh and once you hit the cigar center as brown, it seems like you are getting close, maybe another foot. I'd say cut versus use for a pup, unless your plant is going to be less than a few inches
