For millenia Europeans have lived here, even though there were other, maybe more acceptable places with warmer and more humid climate. This climate of ours, the way of life in temperate and colder climates is so different... we have to adapt, work harder to survive - something that Inca, Mayans and other cultures of tropical regions all over the world didn't have to do.

That's why they belong to the past.
