this is me at Scots house. We loaded the Bell all 14 ft of it in my Little Honda S2000! And yes!!!!! it made it all the way to my house crossed town 20 ish ml or so. I thought the picture was a classic silly Banana moment.!!!!

I will admit it was a bit nerve racking! I know this car keeps showing up but i love my Banana on wheels

we thought it was starting to bloom the base of the P-stem looked like it was swelling but as neither Scot or i have any experience with them blooming as of yet it was hard to say but it started pushing out a new leaf yesterday i have it in a shadier spot waiting for its new home to be dug i thought the hold thing looked ridiculous what was even funnier was that almost know one seemed to notice a thing on the trip home. come on how could you miss a 14 ft tree sticking out the top of a convertible

Ok, the fact that you have a tree sticking out of your car is funny enough, but the fact that no one was gawking at you or at the very least pointing and laughing is funnier. Did you have to dodge traffic lights with it in your car?

no the lights here are vary high up in the air as we have almost no restrictions on semi tractor trailers here in Vegas

Harvey i don't know why no one looked like they even noted it i would have been laughfing and waving a thumbs up if ide see it People in Vegas are so self centered it was probably way to unconvertible for them to tune in for 3 seconds as a mater of fact since the economy has hit the skids here people just seem to stare out in to space allot here we have one of the worst economy's in the country are unemployment officially is at 12% but thats not the real amount its probably more like 18% thats what i heard on the new yesterday

This is going to be some thread derailing but, since Tog and Scot aren't here to do it, someone's got to!

One of the big advantages of living on farm is that you often need help from a neighbor and they need to help from you, so you build the bond of a little community even though you're out in the sticks.

I'm going to Nicaragua in a few weeks (mission awareness tour through cfca.org to visit a girl we sponsor there) and a guy in another forum wrote me to tell me he is in the USA now but is from Nicaragua. He said to be careful, etc. and made a comment about the country being "backwards". That made me shake my head. I imagine he is impressed with our society here with all of the glamor and all but hasn't recognized that we've lost a sense of community in most of the country. As you said, everyone focuses on themselves.

I often think of the time when I visited the birthplace of my father's parents in Canhas, Madeira, Portugal nearly five years ago. We found the residence of my father's cousin and some vacationing neighbors were there to translate for us. The neighbor couple lived in London but had a vacation home there next to my father's cousin. The woman had been raised there and met her British husband somewhere along the line and they raised their own children in London. This woman took us for about a two mile walk to the birth place of my grandmother. Along the way, some locals would call out to her and wave to her. I asked if she walked this way very often and she said not at all. She hadn't seen many of these people for 10, 20 or 30 years but she said they all know who she is. We talked about how neighbors help one another dig up their sweet potato crop and help out in other ways. She said everybody knew everybody in this village that was spread out over quite an area. On the other hand, she said she didn't know the people that lived across the street from her in the U.K. People here seem to take pride in their society being "progressive". What the heck are they progressing towards???

Well, you did get our attention, Pauly, and we all think it's cool.

Not sure how long it will take from this point to get them all printed, bulk-shipped to Jarred and then mailed to subscribers from there. Maybe Beth can shed some light on this for you.
