It's a bit far for me to drive from Florida. Otherwise I'd love to take it off his hands. One that size must be at least ten years old.

That's a Monstera Deliciosa... and yes, the fruit is edible (when it fruits). Sort of tastes like Dragon fruit. A little insipid but is supposed to be very healthy and has micronutrients and antioxidants.

Actually, I think that's Philodendron bipinnatifidum. I have a few of these growing in my backyard.

I was actually joking but you are right, the Monstera Deliciosa does make edible fruit. Wow that is really cool! That said the plant in the listing is not the same, there are no holes in the leaves. This one looks like a garden variety Philodendron to me. Do they make fruit too?

Monstera Deliciosa

I'm not sure. I haven't noticed any fruit on mine. They don't seem to like full sun a lot.

They must really want to get rid of this plant if they're calling it rare and giving it all of these false names....either that or they're ignorant

You're right! I just glanced at this after reading the description. Looking a little more at the foliage and seeing the trunk, then I realized it's not a m. Deliciosa at all. Also, you're right Andreas, that this one IS a philodendron, and NO, It does NOT grow fruit, so again, the lister was inaccurate... not just incorrectly naming, but this has no fruit. It gets funnier and funnier.
