Royal Poinciana vs. Tamarind vs. Jacaranda.
Of course if the fruits are visible then it's easy. I have a Royal Poinciana and Tamarind, both about 5' tall. I grew the Tamarind from seed, and got the Royal Poinciana as a 4" tall little plant, forgot to label them and now can't tell them apart. I included Jacaranda in the question because there are several of them in my city, and the leaves look very similar to my 2 plants. Thanks! |

However the plants might be too small for the noticeable difference in bark texture. Both plants make great bonsai. Last edited by cincinnana : 09-07-2016 at 09:48 AM. |
