Can anyone type these peppers?

They're not green/sweet peppers but are not hot. Very small. Ribbed. I found them at a local flea market so I'm thinking they grow in Central FL. Maybe not. Cut in half horizontally they'd be great Shish Kabob fillers I think. They taste a bit musty to me but I haven't cooked/grilled them so perhaps I'm missing the point.

Anyone know what they are? Marconis? That's my guess. Tell me I'm wrong.

The cleft in the end reminds me of the peter pepper. These may not be fully grown pods. Do a web search for a picture.

Looks like Shi****o (damn filter blocked out the spelling) peppers to me. I grow them and they look like these guys. Let's try this again... shi-shi-to pepper

I blister them like I would with Padrón peppers. I prefer mixing the blistered peppers with hoisin sauce to make it more fun to eat. Goes great with beer.

Here's a simple recipe.

By Jove, I think you nailed it! As huge sesame fan, I can't wait to try this recipe.

It appears these are open pollinated. If so, are seed from green fruits mature enough to germinate? I nibbled on one; the seeds were brownish. Good or bad?

I have saved many seeds from my plants and are matured seeds, so I can mail some to you if you want to give them a try. The brown seeds in green peppers are immature and most likely not viable. I bought the seeds originally from Kitazawa Seed Company if you want to buy from a seed source. The page for the pepper

Feel free to message me with address and I will be happy to send you some of my seeds.
