Re: Can anyone type these peppers?
The cleft in the end reminds me of the peter pepper. These may not be fully grown pods. Do a web search for a picture.

Looks like Shi****o (damn filter blocked out the spelling) peppers to me. I grow them and they look like these guys. Let's try this again... shi-shi-to pepper ![]() I blister them like I would with Padrón peppers. I prefer mixing the blistered peppers with hoisin sauce to make it more fun to eat. Goes great with beer. Here's a simple recipe. http://www.gimmesomeoven.com/easy-sesame-shi****o-peppers-recipe/ :nanadrink: |
Re: Can anyone type these peppers?

Re: Can anyone type these peppers?
By Jove, I think you nailed it! As huge sesame fan, I can't wait to try this recipe.
It appears these are open pollinated. If so, are seed from green fruits mature enough to germinate? I nibbled on one; the seeds were brownish. Good or bad? |

I have saved many seeds from my plants and are matured seeds, so I can mail some to you if you want to give them a try. The brown seeds in green peppers are immature and most likely not viable. I bought the seeds originally from Kitazawa Seed Company if you want to buy from a seed source. The page for the pepper Feel free to message me with address and I will be happy to send you some of my seeds. :2123: |
