Newbie Question: Daily Posts v. New Posts
I've been wondering what is the difference between the Daily Posts and the New Posts?

Re: Newbie Question: Daily Posts v. New Posts
Daily posts are the ones that have been posted today. New posts will show you the posts that have been updated throughout the day from where you last read them. Capiche?

Re: Newbie Question: Daily Posts v. New Posts
Daily Posts lists all the posts for that day, up until the time that you clicked the link to it. This will include the "New Posts", which is separated by a frame.
The New Posts contain only those posts that were made within the last few hours up until the time you clicked the link. Any thread which may have been updated, occurring during the period just prior to your recent clicking of the button and the previous time, or if you have not read it previously, they will be shown in bold letters. If there had been no updates on any thread, since you last clicked the "New Post" button and you have read them, they will be shown in light letters. Regardless of whether you've read them or not, after a thread has been in the New Post frame for several hours, they will be moved out of the frame. So, if you are looking for a thread that you saw or subscribed to earlier in the day, and you no longer see it in the "New Posts" frame, click "Daily Post" and if it was a thread that was posted that day, you will find it below the "New Posts" frame. Outside the New Post frame, threads that were unread will stay bold, and the ones that are read will be light. Hope that helps. |
