Can they be saved?

I have been given about 8 pounds of fairly ripe bananas. I know I can't put them in the refrigerator (or freeze them?), but I wonder if anyone has some experience as to saving them. I hate to just leave them to continue to ripen. Any ideas, suggestions, etc., would be greatly appreciated.

you can slice them and put them in a dehydrator and make banana chips.(when they are completely dry you can dip them in honey and put them back into the dehydrator till the honey is dry). yes you can peel and mash them and put them in ziplock baggies and freeze them( for nana bread later) or you can make lots and lots of smoothies.
