Dosatron

Several months ago I bought a couple of Dosatron systems for my orchard and gardens. Here's one that comes affixed to a cart. The cart itself is about 4-feet (1.2 meters) high. The water-driven pump on the back injects concentrate from the tank into the water flow (a hose in this case). The injection rate is user-selectable, I have mine at 1%. The tank is 15-gallons, so at 1% you can water up to 1500 gallons worth of plants before re-filling.

Today was both a normal watering day and also it was time to cut down on the growing bug population. In each 15-gallon batch I put 2 ounces of pyrethrin concentrate and 1 quart of Bio-Cozyme for the health of the plants.

We use Gator XL mixing pumps. They're a lot cheaper than dosatron, but we get good results. We have one mounted on an old hand truck to make it portable.
