Our new large containers!
 
They are 38" tall by 32" wide at the top. I put christmas lights around the trunks so it will look cool at night.

Can't wait to move these in the fall...lol...I think I might just dig the bananas back out of them.
first one is unidentified, but I think it might be an orinoco.


second one is a tall ladyfinger.

Totally random thought, but it would be pretty humorous if there were a Manzano ladyfinger going by the condensed name of Manz Ladyfinger (pronounced Man's Ladyfinger) or simply Manzfinger.

I can imagine two women catching up over some tea:

"Have you planted anything in your garden yet this spring?"
"Just my Manzfinger."
"Oh my! Was he sneaking your chocolates?"

A quick calculation tells me, that if the pot is jammed full of top soil, the heaviest growing
medium I can think of, it should weigh under 300lb (with some safety margin).

Judging from your picture you do not appear to have any stairs to the garage, if that is,
where you intent to winter you plants. Hand carts in the shape like the one shown here as
"Magna Cart Personal hand Truck" are often to be found on sale in your local hardware/building
supply store. You will have all summer to find one, that handles 300lb. And those guys are
handy for a lot of other things too. :)

That is, if your pots are plastic. Ceramic would make the whole thing much heavier.

Thanks for all the suggestions. That is exactly what we use to move big banana pots and other large tropicals around with. You can't beat a good old hand truck! They sure make a hard job easier.
This is the same pot we're using, but I didn't pay quite this much for it. I laugh at the "lightweight " part though. They weigh about 60 lbs each empty!
