Banana fruits have dry scaly skin

Hello,

One of my trees has fruits which are almost ripe but when I went to check on them yesterday I noticed a number of the bananas have dry/scaly skin on the top side. A couple have split open really bad and some tiny white bugs have gotten to them. Just curious what is causing this - I live in South Florida - very hot now. Is it sunburn or something more (bugs/disease)?

Here are pics...

They are not ripe yet but still I have never had them become brown skinned and dried out/rotted like this. This is obviously not normal.

They look filled enough, no? If you are waiting for them to turn yellow,I think it's a mistake. You better leave them to ripe on your counter... Which variety is it?

I wouldn't put those rascals anywhere near my counter! I don't know what's wrong, but I might quarantine the plant...or remove it.

Yes most are filled and seem grown. Not sure the exact variety I got the original 2 trees from a friend. They're the small bananas. I think manzano. I grabbed some that look fine and brought inside. Would love to know what this is...

Did you have frost on them earlier this year?

Definitely not lol it's always summer here in Florida. Found out it could be banana scab moth symptoms are identical. I guess that would explain the tiny white bugs I saw. Now I have to figure out how to treat it and keep them away!

Can you post pics of the whole plant, the pseudostem and the top of it? It would help to ID it.
