Hello,
I have two areas where I grow Bananas, two different variants, I will attach gallery link (I think that's the best way to do photos here atm?) Anyway, I Would like some advice, The first bunch is a row of "Super Dwarf Cavendish" they are fully grown and I have already removed some as they fruited. You can see some discoloration/black on the leaves....what is that? is it ever a good idea to have them that close? they get a lot of sun. The other set of Bananas I have, in various places, I dont know what they are? I believe they might be the type of Banana that rarely ever goes yellow, "Plantains" maybe? they have a different type of leaf discoloration. the ones in the photos are in a very damp place, and dont get very much sun, I have others that seem to being a lot better leaf wise and they get much more sun. Should I just permantly remove these ones? Are they creating a situation making fungus/spores etc spread to others? Anyway it would be great if people could look at the photos and tell me everything I have done wrong. Banana Gallery - DeanBanana Gallery I fertilize every 3 months, and add potash (potasium) 2 weeks, and a bit of magnesium every 6 weeks, located in North Australia. All help appreciated. EDIT: managed to attach photos proper. Last edited by DeanBanana : 07-21-2025 at 04:22 PM. Reason: Photos |

The more sun the better. Damp all the time is not good.
