Is this normal?

Today I dampened the paper towel I was soaking my musa sikkimensis seeds in with a little willow water. I came back later and the micropylar plug thing of one fell out. I was expecting something to be sticking out when this happened but its just white underneath. Is this seed germinating or can a plug just fall out and the seed die?

Both cases are possible. Carry on with the germination routine and time will tell.

Its very slow getting around, I don't think it was ready yet, but it is putting out a root. This is my first Banana germination!:woohoonaner:
