3 generations of banana plants on the established corm.

It’s a Pisang Klotek variety (Not Ceylon) which was originally acquired 8 or so years ago by a long standing bananas.org veteran (crazy banana). I tried to offer it back to Anke (crazy banana) for free because she lost her corm but her new home isn’t conducive for this tall variety - she said it wouldn’t survive the high winds in San Diego higher elevations she’s at now.

What is what you’re receiving; three winters ago a huge one fell over during a rainstorm and was super healthy that had an intact root section. And I potted it to save it because it was so nice(my in-ground corm is still pumping and healthy) I don’t need this. Since then it’s established in pot completely and the main mother died back - these three pups have matured beautifully - at this point it really needs to get into someone's ground.

It’s completely established and hardy, it’s been in same spot through all 3 winters and 2 summers. (It’s a pretty big pot) prob 20g

I can personally attest that the offered plant pup originated from my Pisang Klotek. It is one of my favorite-tasting bananas, and I highly recommend growing this variety.

Sadly, I had to leave my original Pisang Klotek mat behind when we moved. I am a little hesitant to start over at our new home in the mountains, as we do get some pretty gusty winds here at times.

Whoever is lucky enough to get this beautiful plant will be very happy with it.
