Looking to trade

Growing now in my garden are:
Ice Cream, Mysore, 1,000 Fingers, Williams, Rose, Kru, Apple, GoldFinger, Dwarf Red, Blood, Cavendish & Pink (Musa Velutina).
I actually have plenty of Velutina seedlings currently available to trade. Here are pictures of the pink bananas, one in bloom and the others photos are sprouts from seeds:

If you want a few, let me know what you have for trade. I currently have several dozen seedlings.

As for the rest I mentioned above, I will soon have plenty of these bananas to trade with you guys. In time, I will post when they are available. There's more that I have, but the others still need to be identified (nothing new, just not sure what they are..) and so I cannot mention their name as of yet.
Let me know if you're interested in trading bananas. Also, feel free to start a new thread in addition to replying here.

am interested in trading once mine are a bit older, i just planted them about 7 months ago...so far so good...i have dwarf namwah, jamaican red, mona lisa, fhia 18, dwarf brazilian, goldfinger and a couple yet to be identified.

where are you located?

JoeReal 07-15-2005 02:55 PM

Keep me in the loop. I have
Dwarf orinoco, dwarf brazilian, zebrina, williams, hua moa, sikkimensis (outstanding cold hardiness in our zone, leaves undamaged by our zone 9 frosts), enano gigante, cocos, FHIA-17(? will check on this later), loads of SDC's, gold finger, cardaba.

I also have the rare (not sold in any online stores) cold hardy California Gold which I would like to trade with Ae-ae, costs slightly lower than Ae ae, but still expensive.

At what point can you/should you remove pups to trade?

MediaHound 07-15-2005 04:06 PM

Sean - I'm in South Florida - you?

sean 07-15-2005 04:07 PM

and what are SDC's? lol...I am new to growing bananas and only discovered them after going to the Fruit and Spice Park in South Florida. Fortunately I live only 20 minutes or so away from the park!

Bananas - I am in Miami as well...where are you located at? I am in Palmetto Bay

MediaHound 07-15-2005 04:26 PM

Davie!

excellent...would love to come up sometime and see your plantation...my parents are in lauderhill and in-laws are in pembroke pines

JoeReal 07-15-2005 06:24 PM

I have successfully obtained pups that are just 2 inches tall and it survived the process. I usually will not remove any pup if the mom is in bloom or is about to bloom.

Definately good advice. These were all from TC though. There's pups but they stay.

Wow, this thread has been resurrected like Jesus Christ.

Do you still have plants to trade? I'm looking for a dwarf variety that I can take indoors over the winter. I have some prime dawn redwood seedlings and Poncirrus trifoliata v. "Flying Dragon."

If you ever find Truly tiny, so far it's a great container plant for me and it will not go over 3 feet...

I can't trade you one... You know where I live...
