Musa Aeae soil and air temperature

Hi everyone I live in the uk and have recently purchased a musa Aeae. It's very slow growing so what I'm asking is does anyone know the best soil and air temperature for this species. Plus I've been told to grow them in just perlite. Is that good advice? Many thanks

Where are you in the UK? And do you have a heated green house?

Hi it's a heated conservatory. But might need better care as it's very small.
