Young Banana plant care - Temperature Question
Hi Everyone,
I have a Ensete ventricosum Maurelii and two Basjoo's. They have only been in the ground for several days, have had lots of rain and tonight's low temp is supposed to be in the low 40's (F). The Basjoo's are about 12" tall and the Maurelii is about 2'. Do I need to cover them or should the be okay? At what temperature should one be concerned? Any advice would be great! Thank you. :03: |

They'll be fine. I've had both outside for a month or so and only covered the ensete when we had frost warnings.

They should be fine, the only thing I can think of suggesting is if you expect more rain and your soil is saturated, you might cover the ground around the plants with plastic so that it doesn't get soggy. Cold soggy soil is worse than the low 40s air temp.
