A winter in summer
One week ago-
![]() This morning after 3.5 hours of snow, and hasn't stopped for a minute. ![]() ![]() ![]() Tree's don't seem to handle this wet stuff, especially after the last couple weeks of rain. ![]() Hope you guys in the east survive that heat wave. I'm getting the cross country ski's back out tommorrow since it's not supposed to stop snowing for another couple of days, and gonna get down to the 20's tonight! |
Re: A winter in summer
On the topic, I'd rather be having the heat and smoke problems that we are having than that mess right there. Smoke is bad right now from NC forest fires, but I bet Carolina (the member) is getting it worse than I... and months of smoldering has been predicted, as it is only 20% contained (Great!)
Hope it all clears up for you Kyle. (After you get a good day of skiing!) How often is your last snow of the season normally? |
Re: A winter in summer
That's nuts !
Thanks for sharing that Kyle. :coldbanana: |

I've had family living in this area for the last 28 years, and the latest it's snowed in memory was June 7th about 11 years ago, and that was just a little dump, that didn't pile up or last. This is something else, and if it keeps this up it won't melt for quite a while(or heat up). This has been right up there with some of most snow in the shortest amount of time all year(winter season). |
Re: A winter in summer
Uhh. That sucks Kyle. Haven't seen any of that stuff in a while. Hope it melts off quick so you can get those nana's out. I'll be sendin the lili one's out in full sun this weekend. :flouenaner: Did you have any Basjoo that you wintered outside? If so, how are they handeling this?-Nate

Re: A winter in summer
At this point I don't care I just want enough to go sking, after that if it gets hot we'll have floods big time.
I only have one large basjoo in the ground. It hasn't gotten down to 30F since I planted it about 3 weeks ago, but the basjoo is gonna get fried tonight even though it is sheltered by the roof line. |
Re: A winter in summer
WOW, why I would love to throw a snowball right now I'm frozen with fear for that naner. Hope he can snuggle up to the fireplace and have some hot chocolate.:gif_esqui:santananer::coldbanana:
