wavy leaves

Hey everyone,
I'm a college student and have gotten a banana tree from a friend thats a biology major. I really want to do a good job with it so i have a question: When i got it the leaves were in almost a perfect upside-down arc. now the leaves have become wavy? What is this? what does my banana need? I'm thinking it could be a change in humidy.. let me know what you all think. thanks!

Any chance of posting a digital picture to your gallery?

Re: wavy leaves

I just uploaded some photos to my gallery. The new leaf just appeared today! If anyone sees anything that they think could make the plant more healthy please let me know. Also if anyone has a guess as to what kind this is? thanks!

Re: wavy leaves

Looks pretty normal as well as healthy.
Keep up whatever regime your doing, also dont forget to feed it... table scraps made up of non-meat organic matter do wonders.
The waxy undersides help, but its really hard to get a positive ID at this point in time. If you could do closeups of the midribs and also of the crown where the leaves all stack like a staircase, that would help, too. When it flowers, post closeup pics of the flowers. But till then we can take guesses and form a hypothesis!
