Default Subacid Taste?

Is a subacid taste similar to that of a grocery store banana that is still green?

More like a green apple, a little tart tasting.

Exactly. Just think of any other fruit you know of where some varieties are sweet and tart (or a little acidic) at the same time. Some apples are just sweet, but some are sweet and tart at the same time.

Oh and no not like store bought banana that is green. In my opinion anyway. If you find monzano at the store buy it that is a good example I think. You can sometimes find them at specialty markets.

Apple bananas have a subacid taste, and I would say that burro bananas (Orinoco) do as well.

That helps for sure. It is a common term but I could not get my taste buds to understand till now.

Thanks for the replies.
