Storing ca Gold corm
I have just received a nicely looking california gold corm from Richard (props! :D) and I am now thinking if I should store it until spring.
I have read some of this mighty good thread: http://www.bananas.org/f15/time-put-...inter-310.html but I'm not sure if this is the right way making it survive the winter. My basement has a temperature of 15-17C (apprx. 59-63F) and I'm wondering if this is too warm for the corm. Or is it just better to plant it in a pot straight away? I just want the best for the plant :) |
Re: Storing ca Gold corm
I would plant it in a pot and keep it as a house plant rather than attempting to store it.

Re: Storing ca Gold corm
Even though it isn't more than 8 hours of light/day and no direct sunlight?

Re: Storing ca Gold corm
Yes, I'd agree with Gabe, keep it growing, warm and safe.
If possible a little bottom heat would be good. maybe a reptile mat. |
