Pup Removal question.

Hello Gang;

Got 4 naners carrying bunches, can I remove some of the pups ?
Or would it stress out the Plant ?

Thanks Ed

Re: Pup Removal question.

first #1 I'm not qualified to answer your question. :)
I think this post hasn't been answer because:
#1 different cultivars recover/mature and can be affected differently after pup removal.
#2 Is it a good time of the year for you? Bananas almost ready?
Any pictures?
If your bananas are all the same cultivar "I'd" test em out and take some of them from a couple and taking pictures to see how they recover and stabilize growing strength. (great time to experiment)

This is my second batch of basjoo, I'm considering leaving all these on during winter to encourage plenty of roots for next year. Good idea, IDK?? testing stuff/limits is the fun thing about growing bananas!

If there is a chance of it blowing over your better off just cutting the pups so the roots are intact.. :^)

Yes, but you have to be careful not to destabilize the mother plant.
